Special People, Special Interests:
Interview with an Extraordinary Individual

First, print this page. Then follow the directions.

Our hobbies and interests help shape us into the unique individuals we are. Interview an adult family member -- a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or older brother, sister, or cousin -- to find out about his or her special hobbies and interests.

Ask about what that family member liked to do as a child. Find out how his or her hobbies and interests changed as he or she grew older. Record the information you gather in a word web like the one below. Then share the web with your classmates.

Together you might display your webs on a bulletin board under the title "Special People, Special Interests."
