Cucumber Shrink

My name is Curious Sam. I tried a water experiment with cucumbers. Here it is!

My father helped me cut five slices off a cucumber. Dad and I weighed the slices on a scale. Then we left the slices in the sun. After two days, we weighed the slices again. They weighed less than before. I asked my father, "Why do you think the cucumber slices weighed less?"

What You Do

Print the Cucumber Shrink Worksheet, and figure out why the sun can make some things shrink!
